The rivalry of this year Speedway Grand Prix cycle begins. The first round, which starts in Croatia, before us.
The first tournment of the SGP 2024 cycle starts 27th of April in Gorican. Whereas the fight for medals is taking place in Torun, as it has taken place for some years. The competition at Motoarena is planned for 28th of September.
Martin Vaculik in 2023 fought his first medal in his career in Speedway Grand Prix cycle. The Slovakian got bronze medal having two points more than Jack Holder who was fourth in general classification.
Vaculik started his starts in the elite last year rather on average level. In Gorican the Slovakian rider was eight. Eight points in the main round gave him promotion to semi final. However in the 21st race he came last to the finish line, behind: Jason Doyle, Robert Lambert, Mikkel Michelsen and he fell of the further rivalry.
Two weeks later the riders competed at PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw. The Slovakian did there better than in the first tournment. Scoring eleven pionts he was promoted to the semifinal without any problems. But in the twenty first race he was third and he finished his starts in this comopetition.
Prague was very lucky for Martin Vaculik. The rider won the Grand Prix of Chech the great style. He overtook Leon Madsen, Jack Holder and Bartosz Zmarzlik.
In Teterov it was not very rosy. The seven scored points was enough only for the tenth position. He was also excluded from one race.
It seemed that on his hometrack in Gorzow, Martin Vaculik will be able to fight for the a better result. However the reality was different. The whole match the rider was trying to find the proper settings of his bikes. Finally he was classified on the fourteenth position.
In the middle of July the riders rivaled in Grand Prix of Sweden. In this competition the rider presented his good siede. The Slovakian without any problems got into semi final. But there was an accident on second curve of the third lap. Fredrick Lindgren caused the fall of Martin Vaculik and was exclude from the repetition. This race ended with victory of Daniel Bewley, Vaculik was second and Dudek third.
The host city of the seventh round of SGP 2023 was Ryga. The experienced rider was good also in this round. In the most important race it was very narrowly in the first lap. Lingren fell down. All the riders repeated the race. Then Tai Woffinden was moving on the starting line. The British rider was worned in the earlier race, so he was excluded form the repetition. Then Bartosz Zmarzlik stayed on the start, but he passed Lindgren in the distance. At the lowest podium stood Vaculik.
Grand Prix of Great Britain ended with the second victory of Martin Vaculik in the last year season. The Slovakian triumphed in this meeting before Jack Holder and Bartosz Zmarzlik.
The nineth tournmet of fight for the championship in 2023 took place in Vojens. Vaculik scored only six points in five starts. However he was excluded from his last race. Finally he was classified on the nineth position.
The elitist rivalry last year ended in Torun. Very interesting seemed the fight for the bronze medal at Motoarena between Jack Holder and Martin Vaculik. The Australian in the nine rounds scored a hundre and thirteen points, the same as the Slovakian. Vaculik won the competition for the bronze with Holder and got his first medal in the SGP cycle. In Torun he was fifth and his greates rival Jack Holder was seventh.
The very exciting tournment before us. The fans cannot wait for the first round of Speedway Grand Prix 2024 cycle after winter brake.
